History tells us that roses have been symbols of devotion for over 35 million years. They have survived ice ages and witnessed the rise and fall of empires, yet they remain as sought-after today as they were in the gardens of Ancient Rome.

In 1948, a different kind of seed was planted right here in Miami. When Dolly’s Florist first opened its doors on the corner of NW 7th Avenue and 130th Street, it was a small, family-owned shop with a simple mission: to help relationships "blossom." While the world around us has changed—from the classic styles of the 1940s to the bold, modern designs like our Dozen Magenta Long-Stem Rose Bouquet—our foundational commitment has remained as steady as an heirloom rose bush.

The Stems That Support Us: 50+ Years of Family

A rose is only as strong as its stem, and for over 50 years, the same family has been the backbone of Dolly’s. Led by Lillian de la Flor, the shop has transitioned through decades with a grace that mirrors the flower we love most.

The true magic of Dolly’s lies in the people who have grown alongside us. We are incredibly proud to have employees who have been with the company for decades, some nearly as long as the family itself. Like the office manager Mary Lee Benzing (also known as the Dancing Queen), our team brings a level of expertise and "soul" that only comes from a lifetime of working with nature.
